JUDGMENT
The petitioner, a driver by profession, is a registered owner of heavy goods vehicle bearing Registration No.KL-31M-1331. According to the petitioner, on account of the financial constraints, the petitioner was forced to garaging the said vehicle and hence the same could not be operated for a long time. Thus the motor vehicle tax payable in respect of the said vehicle fell in arrears. Now the petitioner wants to settle the motor vehicle tax liability in respect of the vehicle in six equal monthly installments. Even though the petitioner submitted Ext.P11 before the 1st respondent it did not evoke any response.
2. This writ petition is submitted by the petitioner in such circumstances seeking the following reliefs:
(i) Issue 8 writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ or order commanding the 1st respondent quantify the motor vehicle tax arrears due on the goods vehicle bearing Registration No.KL-31M-1331 without any delay.
