O R D E R
This bail application is filed under Section 483 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita , 2023.
2. The petitioner is the accused in Crime No.1139/2025 of Vattiyoorkavu Police Station, Thiruvananthapuram, registered against him for the offence punishable under Sections 55 (1) read with 55(i), 63 read with 13 of the Kerala Abkari Act .
3. The prosecution case is that on 06.12.2025, at about 03.45 p.m., 30 bottles containing 500 ml each of Indian Made Foreign Liquor kept for sale was seized from the office of Koyipurath Travels in the ownership of the accused, thereby the accused has committed the alleged offences.
4. The learned Public Prosecutor opposed the bail application.
5. Prima facie there are materials revealing the involvement of the accused in the crime alleged. The accused is in judicial custody from 07.12.2025. Regard being had to the period of detention undergone by him in judicial custody and the progress made in the investigation, this Court is of the view that, further detention of the accused is not necessitated and a fair and full probe can be ensured by granting bail to the petitioner with stringent conditions.
Accordingly, bail is granted to the petitioner
