JUDGMENT

Dated this the 6^th day of January, 2026 The petitioner who is the sole accused in C.C.No.1293/2016 on the file of the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court-II, Sasthamcotta, arising out of Crime No.822/2010 of Sooranadu police station, Kollam, filed this petition with a prayer to direct the learned Magistrate not to deliver the judgment in this case till the final hearing and judgment in C.C.No.1149/2016, on the ground that both are case and counter.

2. As per report dated 29.12.2025, the learned Magistrate informed that C.C.No.1293/2016 stands posted for final arguments on 01.01.2026. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that C.C.No.1149/2016 stands posted on 03.01.2026 for defence evidence.

3. In the above circumstances, this OP(Crl) is disposed of with a direction to the learned Magistrate to dispose of C.C.No.1293/2016 and C.C.No.1149/2016 simultaneously, on the same day, if they are case and counter.
