JUDGMENT
The prayers in this Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India are as follows:-
“I. Issue a Writ in the nature of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction to the 3rd Respondent granting permission to enter Palakad District while the petitioner’s son is out on ordinary parole.
II. To grant any such other and further relief as this Hon’ble court may deem fit in the facts and circumstances of the case so as to meet the ends of justice.
III. To dispense with the production of English Translation of vernacular documents in the writ petition.”
2. The petitioner is the mother of a convict. The petitioner’s son, Janeesh (Convict No. 119/2023), is undergoing imprisonment in S.C. No. 897/2015 on the file of the Additional District and Sessions Court - III, Palakkad, and is lodged at the Central Prison and Correctional Home, Kannur. The convict was granted ordinary parole as per Ext. P1 on condition that he shall remain within the territorial limits of Thrikkunnapuzha Police Station for the period from 17.12.2025 to 06.01.2026.
