JUDGMENT
The writ petition is filed with the following prayers:-
i) Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order, or direction directing the respondent to consider and pass orders on Exhibit P-4 application of the petitioner to change the permit No. TC No.582, TP 1150 of his diesel auto rickshaw No. KL-08-BC-0996 to his new Electric battery operated auto rickshaw bearing registration No. KL-77-C-2062, within a time limit fixed by this Hon’ble Court.
ii) Dispense with the filing of the translation of vernacular documents produced along with this writ petition.
iii) Issue such other writ, orders or directions, which this Honourable Court may deem fit and proper in the interest of justice and circumstances of the case.
2. The learned Government Pleader, on instructions, submits that for an electric battery-operated vehicle, no permit is required.
This is recorded.
3. As regards the contention of the petitioner for a parking space, it will be open to the petitioner to approach the Traffic Regulatory Committee concerned with a request, and in that event, the said authority will pass orders in accordance with law, without delay.
Nothing further remains to be considered in the writ petition, and the same is closed as above.
