The petitioner is the sole accused in CC No.568 of 2024 of Judicial First Class Magistrate Court-I, Karunagappally, arising out of Crime No.487 of 2024 of Karunagapally Police Station. The offences alleged against the petitioner is under Sections 498A and 323 of IPC .

2. The prosecution case is that the accused, who is the husband of the de facto complainant, subjected her to cruelty both physically and mentally, voluntarily caused hurt to her and thereby, he is alleged to have committed the aforesaid offences.

3. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the entire disputes between the petitioner and the de facto complainant were settled. Therefore he prayed for quashing all further proceedings against the petitioner.
