JUDGMENT

This writ petition is filed seeking the following reliefs:

“i. Issue a writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ directing the respondents 1 to 5 to forthwith take effective steps to close down the functioning of the 7^th respondent farm without complying with the pollution control norms and establishing proper and effective waste management system to control the air pollution and other hazards to the environment and locality.

ii.Issue a writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ or order calling for the records relating to the operation of the duck farm by the 7^th respondent and directing the 2^nd respondent to ensure strict and effective compliance with Letter No. PCB/DID/54/2024/AE dated 12.12.2025 (Ext.P7) and to take coercive action in the event of continued non-

compliance;

iii. Issue a writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ directing the respondent authorities, to forthwith stop the burning of waste and to prevent emission of smoke, noxious fumes and foul odour from the duck farm operated by the 7^th respondent and to ensure that the residential locality of the petitioners is rendered safe and habitable;
