JUDGMENT
Petitioner claims to be an association of Managers of Self Financing Teacher Training Institutes in Kerala. They claim to be imparting education in teachers training to the students of the institution engaged in development in elementary education. According to them, the hostel fees payable by the Government for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe students are too minimal and the same is not sufficient to effectively function the hostel or provide reasonable food and accommodation.
2. Pointing out the above aspects, a representation was submitted on
06.04.2022 as evident from Ext.P2 before the first respondent. However, according to the petitioner, till date, no decision has been taken.
3. Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Government Pleader, and having regard to the nature of relief sought for in this writ petition, as well as Ext.P2, I am of the view that this writ petition can be disposed of without making any observations on the merits of the claim put forth.
4. Since Ext.P2 is pending consideration before the Secretary SC/ST Development Department, there will be a direction to the said officer to consider and pass appropriate orders on
