The limited plea of the petitioner is that the learned Family Court, Neyyattinkara, be directed to take up RP No.62/2025 in OP(G&W) No.1740/2023 and dispose it of within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
2. Hearing Sri.P.M.Saneer – appearing for the petitioner on the afore lines, on 22.01.2026, we called for a report from the learned Family Court, which is now available.
3. The learned Family Court reports that the RP in question was filed on 11.11.2025, to be listed to 11.12.2025 for return of summons; and that, pursuant thereto, she appeared on 11.12.2025. It says that the matter is now listed to 03.02.2026 for objections and that it will be disposed of approximately within a period of two months thereafter.
4. We find the time frame suggested by the learned Family Court to be absolute.
In the afore circumstances, we allow this Original Petition and direct the learned Family Court, Neyyattinkara, to abide by the time frame it has suggested to us in its report dated 24.01.2026.
