JUDGMENT

The petitioners challenge Exts.P8 and P9 orders passed by the RTA, Malappuram, whereby a regular permit has been granted to the 3rd respondent. The petitioners have an alternate efficacious statutory remedy before the State Transport Appellate Tribunal against the impugned orders. No grounds exist for entertaining the challenge in a writ petition.

Without prejudice to any of the contentions raised by the petitioner herein and without prejudice to the right to avail of the alternate remedy, the writ petition is closed. If the petitioners prefer an alternate remedy within ten days from today, the same shall be considered on merits, and appropriate orders shall be passed in accordance with law.

The writ petition is closed as above.
