JUDGMENT

The writ petition is filed with the following prayers:-

“i) issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate Writ, order or direction, directing the respondents to correct the date of birth 27-09-1984 instead of 27-09-1983 as well as name of petitioner’s mother from Sibil Paul to Sybil Juana Paul in the 1st and 2nd respondents official records and in Exhibits P1 to P4 forthwith.

ii) issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate Writ, order or direction directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to issue fresh certificates after correcting the date of birth 27- 09-1984 instead of 27-09-1983 as well as name of petitioner’s mother from Sibil Paul to Sybil Juana Paul within a time frame that may be fixed by this Hon’ble Court.

iii) To grant such other reliefs as may be prayed for in the circumstances of the case.”

2. The learned counsel appearing for respondents 1 and 2 submits that they had approved the application preferred by the petitioner for a change of the date of birth, and on receipt of the fee and further documents from the 3rd respondent, the competent among respondents 1 and 2 will pass further orders.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the 3rd respondent school submits that the documents required by the CBSE were furnished to them on 21.01.2026. This is recorded.

4. Accordingly, there will be a direction to the competent among respondents 1 and 2 to take further steps for the issuance of a corrected certificate within two weeks from today.

The writ petition is disposed of as above.
