This application is filed under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita , 2023 (for short, BNSS ), seeking pre-

arrest bail.

2. The applicant is the accused No.4 in Crime No.2161/2025 of Adoor Police Station, Pathanamthitta District. The offences alleged are punishable under Sections 296 (b), 126(2), 115(2), 118(1) and 118(2) read with Section 3 (5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita , 2023

The prosecution case, in short, is that on 04.10.2025 at about 10.00 p.m., the husband of the defacto complainant, who was returning home, was wrongfully restrained by the accused persons near Parakkodu. It is alleged that accused No.1, verbally abused him in obscene and threatening language, after which the accused persons collectively assaulted him. Accused No.1 is stated to have beaten the victim with his hands and stamped him with his legs, while the accused No.2 allegedly inflicted repeated blows causing multiple injuries. The victim is stated to have sustained fractures, loss of teeth, lacerations and abrasions as a result of the alleged assault.
