IN THE HIGH COURT OF KERALA AT ERNAKULAM
MOHAMMED NIAS C.P., J
MERCY – Appellant
Versus
STATE OF KERALA – Respondent

Advocates:
For the Appellants/Petitioners: SRI.LATHEESH SEBASTIAN
For the Respondents: SRI. P.S. APPU, SRI. B. PREMOD

JUDGMENT

The petitioner challenges Ext.P3 order passed by the Electricity Board refusing to grant a fresh electricity connection sought by the petitioner for want of an NOC from the Revenue Department.

2. In view of the judgments passed in similar situations, including Exts.P4 and P5, there will be a direction to the 6th respondent to consider the application for a fresh electricity connection, if the application is otherwise in order, without insisting on an NOC from the Revenue Department, within six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. It is made clear that this judgment will not prevent the Revenue Department from taking appropriate action against the petitioner, if warranted.

The Writ petition is disposed of as above.
