JUDGMENT
The writ petition is filed with the following prayers:
“(i) to issue a writ of mandamus or other writ order or direction directing the respondents not to disconnect the electric connection to consumer Nos. 7348, 7349, 7398, 7399, 7400, 7401, 7402, 7403, 7508, 7509, 7510, 7511, 7512, 7513, 7759, 7816, 7817, 7818, 7819, 8448, 9256, 9257 and 9258 in Illikkal Plaza owned by petitioner till a decision taken in the matter of issuance of occupancy certificate to petitioner's building;
(ii) issue such other writ order or direction as may be necessary in the interest of justice;”
2. Upon admission of the writ petition, an interim order was passed on 27.08.2014, which reads as follows:
“The learned Government Pleader to get instructions for respondents 1 to 2.
The learned Standing Counsel appears on behalf of the 3rd respondent.
There will be an interim direction to reconnect the supply in all the electric connections provided in the building belonging to the petitioner, as per consumer numbers mentioned in Ext.P3, provisionally pending disposal of this writ petition, subject to the condition that the petitioner remits arrears of electricity charges if any due in all the connections and c
