JUDGMENT
Dated this the 31st day of January, 2026 The petitioner has filed the captioned writ petition seeking for a declaration that the proposed championship as regards Boxing, to be conducted by the 3rd respondent Sports Organisation, who is stated to have been suspended, is illegal and arbitrary.
2. While admitting the writ petition on 26.05.2023, this Court had issued the following interim order;
“Admit.
Adv. Pratheesh takes notice for respondents 3 and 4. The petitioner to serve a copy of the writ petition to Adv. Pratheesh, who is appearing for respondents 3 and 4. The learned Standing counsel takes notice for the 1st respondent. The learned Government Pleader takes notice for the 5th respondent. Issue Urgent notice by speed post to the 2nd respondent.
The Standing Counsel appearing for the 1st respondent submitted based on Ext.P5 that the respondents Nos.3 and 4 are not authorised to conduct a tournament. In such circumstances, there shall be an interim order that the operation of Ext.P10 and conduct of the Boxing championship pursuant to Exts. P10 and 11 are Stayed for a period of two months.
Respondents are free to file a Counter affidavit and to file urgent memo for hearing.
