This application is filed under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita , 2023 (for short, BNSS ), seeking pre-arrest bail.
2. The applicant is the accused No.2 in Crime No.1239/2025 of Mangalapuram Police Station, Thiruvananthapuram District. The offences alleged are punishable under Sections 126 (2), 329(3), 115(2), 118(1) and 351(2) r/w Section 3 (5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita , 2023.
3. The prosecution case, in short, is that due to previous animosity, on 31.10.2025 at around 9:30 p.m., the applicant and accused No.1 trespassed into the courtyard of the house of the defacto complainant, situated near the Health Centre, Mangalapuram in Veyiloor Village, and thereafter, the applicant wrongfully restrained the defacto complainant and beat him on his cheek. When the defacto complainant fell down, accused No.1 beat him, using a reaper on his right hand, leg and stabbed him on the sole of his right foot with a weapon resembling a knife and thereby committed the offences.
