JUDGMENT Dated this the 29th day of January, 2026 The petitioner is the Superintendent of the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation, presently working at the Regional Workshop, Edapal.
2. The petitioner was constrained to spend ₹25,47,815/- for the treatment of her son, who was infected with Blood Cancer. The petitioner had availed loans from her friends and relatives to meet the said medical expenses. Now, it is high time to settle the said loans. The petitioner needs the PF loan to settle the said loans. She had already applied for a PF loan amounting to ₹7 lakhs as per Ext.P4 letter. So far, no steps are taken by the respondents to sanction the PF loan.
3. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to sanction and disburse the PF loan to the petitioner within a time frame as may be stipulated by this Court.
4. I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel representing the respondents.
5. The Standing Counsel for the respondents submitted that the KSRTC is facing financial difficulties and they are making all efforts to generate funds and pay the dues payable to the employees and the retired employees
