Dated this the 28th day of January, 2026 ORDER The petitioner is the 10th accused in SC No.51/2022 on the file of the Special Court – Offences under SC/ST (POA) Act, 1989, Kottarakkara, which has originated from Crime No.2215/2020, registered by the Kollam West Police Station, Kollam, alleging the commission of the offences punishable under Sections 143 , 147, 148, 294(b), 427, 447 and 506 read with Section 149 of the Indian Penal Code , Sections 3 and 5 of the Kerala Prevention of Damage to Private property and Payment of Compensation Act, 2019 and Section 3 (2)(va) of SC/ST (PoA) Act, 1989.
2. The petitioner has invoked the inherent jurisdiction of this Court under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Surksha Sanhita , to quash all further proceedings in the above case. It is asserted that the dispute that led to the registration of the crime has been amicably settled between the petitioner and the respondents 2 and 3, who have executed Annexures A3 and A4 affidavits, affirming the settlement.
