JUDGMENT

Exts.P3 and P5 are applications for a permission for display of fire works in connection with the festival of the Sree Jagannatha Temple, Thalassery from 28.02.2026 to 07.03.2026. The same has not been considered, is the short grievance.

2. This Court notice that the competent Authority to grant permission is the 3rd respondent, before whom no application has been preferred by the petitioner.

3. In the circumstances, there will be a direction to the petitioner to file necessary application in accordance with law before the 3rd respondent tomorrow itself. Once such application is received, the 3rd respondent will take a decision in the same in accordance with law, expeditiously, at any rate, on or before 15.02.2026, after affording an opportunity of being heard to the petitioner, as also, any other affected parties.

4. Needless to say that the application to be preferred by the petitioner shall be supported by necessary documents as required by law.

This Writ Petition will stand disposed of as above.
