JUDGMENT

Pursuant to the order dated 22.01.2026, the learned Standing Counsel for the University submitted that the schedule of events for College Union Election 2025-2026 has already been decided. It was also submitted that the schedule of events for College Union Elections 2025-2026 has been fixed and polling will be conducted for the College Union Elections on 20.02.2026 and Stage 2 – Election will take place on 20.02.2026 between 4 pm to 4.50 pm.

2. The conduct of University Union Elections is also a matter which needs to be considered after the election to the college Union.

3. In view of the above, nothing further remains to be considered in this writ petition. If, in case, petitioner is aggrieved, by any failure on the part of the respondents to act in accordance with law, he is at liberty to initiate fresh action.

With the above observations, this writ petition is closed.
