ORDER

Dated this the 30^th day of January, 2026 The petitioner is the sole accused in C.C.No.433 of 2025 on the files of the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court, Piravom, arising out of Crime No.279 of 2025 of Piravom Police Station. The offences alleged against the petitioner is under Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code .

2. The prosecution case is that, the accused, who is the husband of the de facto complainant, subjected her to cruelty, both physically and mentally and appropriated her gold ornaments.

3. At the instance of both sides, the matter was referred for mediation to the Mediation Centre attached to this Court. In mediation, the matter has been settled and the memorandum of agreement signed by both the parties is produced. As per the above memorandum of agreement, the parties agreed to resolve all their disputes amicably and they also agreed to quash the criminal case C.C.No.433 of 2025, pending against the petitioner.

In the light of the memorandum of agreement, this Criminal Miscellaneous Case is allowed. All further proceedings in C.C.No.433 of 2025 on the files of the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court, Piravom, as against the petitioner, is quashed.
