The instant petition has been submitted by the learned Ombudsman pursuant to the directions issued by this Court in its order dated 15.07.2025. 2. From the report, i t is seen that the Ombudsman has recorded that the complainant was personally present and has categorically denied having submitted such a complaint. The complainant has also denied the signature appearing on the said complaint. In view of the above factual position, the Ombudsman has reported that no further action is required in the matter.
3. The Ombudsman has, however, recommended that the Deputy Devaswom Officer shall exercise due caution while granting any deviation in the route of the Arattu procession, and that prior permission of the Thantri, as well as prior sanction from the Devaswom Board, shall be obtained before permitting any such deviation. The Deputy Devaswom Officer shall abide by the above recommendation.
Subject to the above observations and recommendations, this petition is closed.
