JUDGMENT

Dated this the 3rd day of February, 2026 Petitioners have approached this Court challenging Ext.P12 order, whereby the Form 9 application submitted by the petitioners has been rejected.

2. The learned Government Pleader pointed out that Ext.P12 order is appealable before the District Collector as provided under Section 27B of the Kerala Conservation of Paddy Land and Wetland Act , 2008.

Taking into consideration the fact that Ext.P12 is an appealable order, I am inclined to dispose of the writ petition as follows:-

The petitioners may file an appeal before the 2nd respondent within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. If the appeal is filed within the time granted, the same shall be treated to have been filed within time. Thereafter, the 2nd respondent shall hear the petitioners and dispose of the appeal in accordance with law, within a further period of three months thereafter.
