This is a review application filed under Order XLVII Rule 1 r/w Section 114 of the Code of Civil Procedure 1908 seeking to review the judgment of this Court in W.A.No.904/2022 dated 12.08.2025.
2. The review petitioner herein was not a party in the Writ Petition (W.P(C) No.14509/2020). The Writ Petition was instituted by Sri.Vivek contending that he was recruited by LIC Housing Finance Limited (hereinafter referred to as ‘LICHFL’) as a Managing Trainee on 08.01.2018 and appointed as Assistant Manager on 09.01.2019, after completing the training and probation. The petitioner has submitted a resignation letter on 27.01.2020, which was to take effect from 27.04.2020. However, he has submitted a request for withdrawal of resignation by e-mail on 26.04.2020.
3. But the LICHFL accepted his resignation on 17.02.2020 itself. The learned Single Bench dismissed the Writ Petition holding that Writ Petition is not maintainable as LICHFL would not come within the purview of the State under Article 12 of the Constitution of India. Impugning the judgment of the learned Single Judge, the writ petitioner preferred W.A.No.904/2022.
4. This Court, as per judgment dated 12.08.2025, allowed the Writ Appeal. After the filing of the Review Petition, the writ petitioner has preferred an interim application seeking to correct the operative portion of the judgment in W.A.No.904/2022 dated 12.08.2025. In that interim application, the petitioner contended that there is a clerical error in the operative portion of the judgment in the Writ Appeal. It is contended that, instead of ‘LICHFL’ direction was wrongly given to ‘LIC’.
5. We have passed a detailed order in I.A.No.1 of 2026 allowing the application and correcting the operative portion of the judgment.
6. In view of the detailed order passed in the interim application for correction of clerical error, no further order is required to be passed in this Review Petition.
Therefore, the Review Petition is closed.
