JUDGMENT
Dated this the 6th day of February, 2026 The mother of the victim in S.C.No.176/2018 on the file of the Additional Sessions Court (Special Court for the trial of cases relating to atrocities and sexual violence against women and children) Ernakulam, filed this OP(Crl) for a direction to the learned Sessions Judge to proceed with the trial in the case only after receipt of mobile phones and laptop along with the FSL report.
2. When this matter came up for arguments today, the learned Public Prosecutor upon instructions submitted that in this case the FSL report was filed before the trial court as early as on 27.07.2019. In the above circumstances, this OP(Crl) became infructuous and accordingly it is dismissed as infructuous.
3. Considering the fact that this is a case of the year 2018, there will be a direction to the learned Sessions Judge to dispose of this case as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
