O R D E R
This application is filed underSection 482of theBharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for short, BNSS ), seeking pre- arrest bail.
2. The applicant is the sole accused in Crime No.1037/2025 of Kadakkavoor Police Station, Thiruvananthapuram District. The offences alleged are punishable under Sections 419, 465, 468 and 471 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 12 (1)(d) of the Passports Act , 1967.
3. The prosecution case, in short, is that the applicant, after obtaining an Indian Passport, went abroad, his passport was detained by his sponsor there and hence he returned to India through his agent. Thereafter, the applicant forged some documents, produced those documents as genuine before the Passport Office, obtained a second passport and thereby committed the aforementioned offences.
4. I have heard Sri.M.Balagovindan, the learned counsel for the applicant and Sri.M.C.Ashi, the learned Senior Public Prosecutor.
