IN THE HIGH COURT OF KERALA AT ERNAKULAM
BECHU KURIAN THOMAS, J
ATTARAKKONAM THIRU. APPUPPANKAVU TRUST – Appellant
Versus
STATE OF KERALA – Respondent

Advocates:
For the Appellants/Petitioners: SHRI.M.RAJENDRAN NAIR, SMT.M.SANTHY
For the Respondents: SRI.RAJEEV JYOTHISH GEORGE

JUDGMENT

The writ petition has been filed seeking a direction for grant of police protection to the petitioner and other office bearers of the trust of Attarakkonam Thiru. Appuppankavu Temple for the smooth administration of the day to day poojas and worship of the devotees in the temple.

2. When this writ petition came up for consideration on 20.11.2025, this Court requested the Government Pleader to get instructions. Thereafter, when the matter was taken up today, the learned Government Pleader submitted that there is no law and order situation as alleged.

3. Considering the nature of instructions obtained and the order that I propose to issue, I am of the view that notice to respondents 4 to 7 can be dispensed with.

4. Since the learned Government Pleader has submitted that there is no law and order situation warranting an interference by the police, no orders as sought for need be issued. Hence, this writ petition is closed, reserving the liberty of the petitioner to initiate action later if the circumstances so warrant.
