JUDGMENT
Petitioners have approached this Court with the following reliefs : (i) issue a writ of Mandamus or such other writ or order directing the respondent No.1 and 2 to give adequate police protection for petitioner and other members of the Ezhava community in Chathamangalam against unlawful obstruction caused by respondents No.3 & 4 or any one acting under them for conducting Pongal Mahotsavam in Chathamangalam Mariyamman Temple on 17.02.2026 and for making arrangements from 15.02.2026 and continuing the celebration till 25.02.2026.
(ii) Dispense with filing the translation of vernacular documents.
2. I have heard Sri.Abdul Raoof Pallipath, the learned counsel for the petitioners, Sri.Jacob Sebastian, the learned counsel for respondents 3 and 4 and Sri.Rajeev Jyothish George, the learned Government Pleader.
