ORDER
This application is filed under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita , 2023 (for short, BNSS ), seeking regular bail.
2. The applicant is the accused No.1 in Crime No.708/2025 of Vythiri Police Station, Wayanad District. The offences alleged are punishable under Sections 22 (b) and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act , 1985.
3. The prosecution case, in short, is that, on 25.07.2025 at 10:30 a.m., while the police were conducting a vehicle check opposite Wilton Anna Bhavan Hotel at Lakkidi, the applicant, who was travelling from the Kozhikode region to Vythiri region in a car bearing registration number KL-71K-3883, was intercepted by the police, but it fled the scene. Subsequently, the police recovered 20.35 grams of methamphetamine from the car. Thereafter, the applicant was arrested on 26.07.2025. Thus, the applicant is alleged to have committed the aforementioned offences.
