The 1st petitioner is the Kurumal-Karvathur Temple Advisory Committee and the 2nd petitioner is the President of the said committee. The petitioners state that the temple Pooram is scheduled to be held from 10.02.2026 to 13.02.2026 under the supervision and control of the Temple Advisory Committee.

2. The petitioners state that respondents 15 to 22 have declared themselves as Kizhakekara Poora Samudhayam, Santhi Nagar and started collecting funds from the public.

3. The petitioners further state that respondents 15 to 22 have obtained Ext.P5 permission from the 1st respondent, Cochin Devaswom Board, for bringing Aanapooram (elephant parade) to Keeezhedam Kurumal Bhagavathy Temple. According to the petitioners, Ext.P5 order from the Board was obtained by the respondents by misrepresentation, fraud and with malicious intention.

4. The petitioners state that respondents 15 to 22 have no authority to collect funds using the name ‘Kizhakekara Poora Samudhayam, Santhi Nagar’.

5. The petitioners approached the 3rd respondent, Junior Devaswom Officer, and made a request not to allow the respondents 15 to 22 to bring the Pooram to the temple. The 3rd respondent, Junior Devaswom
