Dated this the 10^th day of February, 2026 J U D G M E N T The petitioner is the proposed donor of a renal patient Mr.Shanis, undergoing treatment for kidney related problems at the Medical Trust Hospital, Ernakulam. The petitioner has approached this Court seeking the following reliefs:-

“a. Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction directing respondents 1 and 2 to take immediate and effective steps to issue approval for unrelated kidney transplantation in respect of Ext.P10 application within a time stipulated by this Hon'ble Court;

b. Issue a writ of certiorari or any other appropriate writ, order or direction calling for records leading to issuance of Ext.P11 certificate issued by the 3^rd respondent and direct afresh consideration.

c. Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction directing the 2^nd respondent to accept and forward Exts.P10 application with documents to the 1^st respondent for consideration, without insisting for the certificate fro
