JUDGMENT

[WP(C) Nos.5163/2026, 5123/2026]

The petitioners challenge Ext. P5 order passed by the Regional Transport Authority, Idukki, rejecting the applications for transfer of permits.

2. The specific contention raised by the petitioners is that Ext.P5 order was passed without hearing him.

3. In view of the said contentions, the learned Government Pleader was directed to get instructions as to whether the petitioners are heard before passing Ext.P5 order. It is submitted that the petitioners were not heard before the passing of Ext.P5 order. This is recorded.

4. In such circumstances, Ext.P5 order is quashed, and there will be a direction to the Regional Transport Authority, Idukki, to rehear the application with notice to the petitioners and other affected parties, if any. Fresh orders shall be passed within six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.

These writ petitions are disposed of as above.
