JUDGMENT
The writ petition is filed with the following prayers.
“i) To issue a writ of Certiorari or other appropriate writ, order direction calling for the records leading to Ext.P2 and quash the same;
ii) To declare that Ext.P2 order is passed by the District Magistrate, the 4th respondent without complying the directions/guidelines in Ext.P3 Circular;
iii) to issue a writ of mandamus or other appropriate writ, order or direction, commanding the respondents not to close down the Bar hotel of the petitioner, namely SEA PARK in pursuance of Ext.P2 order on 04.02.2026 and 05.02.2026 in connection with the festival of the Sakthikulangara Sreedharmasasta Temple;
iv) grant such other and further reliefs as this Hon’ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case.
v) Considering the exigencies and necessity for urgent consideration of the grievances voiced in this Writ Petition, production of English translation of documents in vernacular may kindly be dispensed with for the time being.”
2. An interim order was passed by this Court on 02nd February
2026 staying Ext.P2, and the period mentioned therein is already over.
