The court mandated consideration of a permit application based on a prior ruling, emphasizing procedural compliance without unnecessary requirements.

JUDGMENT

The writ petition is filed with the following prayers:

“i) issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, direction or order directing the 2nd respondent to issue the granted regular permit to the petitioner as per Ext.P1 on the route Kuppoth - Natyamangalam in respect of stage carriage bearing number KL-10-Y-6166 on production of current records, in the interest of justice.

ii) issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, direction or order directing the 2nd respondent, Secretary Regional Transport Authority to issue the granted regular permit to the petitioner as per Ext.P1 on the route Kuppoth - Natyamangalam in respect of stage carriage bearing number KL-10-Y-6166 on production of current records without insisting on BS-VI compliance.

iii) to issue any other appropriate writ, direction or order which this Honourable Court deem fit in the circumstances of the case.”

2. It is submitted by both sides that the issue raised in this writ petition is covered by the judgment of this Court in W.P.(C) No. 36460/2025 and connected cases dated 05.02.2026.

Accordingly, there will be a direction to the 1^st respondent to consider the application of the petitioner for a regular permit, as directed in the judgment above referred. Orders shall be passed within two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.

The writ petition is disposed of as above.
