For the Appellants/Petitioners: SHRI.P.K.RAMKUMAR, SMT.ANITHA MENON, SHRI.SREEVALSAN K.M.
For the Respondents: SMT. PREETHA K.K.

The court determined that the reopening of the amusement park with proper consent did not constitute contempt of court.

Headnote:This Contempt of Court case arises from allegations of violation of an earlier order. The Court noted that the amusement park in question had reopened following granted consent from the Pollution Control Board. The court decided to close the contempt case for lack of grounds. The final outcome is that the contempt case is closed.

Con. Case (C) No.209 of 2026 ------------------------------------------------------

Dated this the 11th day of February, 2026

JUDGMENT

This Contempt of Court case is filed alleging violation of the order dated 19.12.2025 in WP(C) No.48103/25.

2. This Court as per order dated 04.02.2026 passed an order in the writ petition, after the order dated 19.12.2025. Based on that order, the amusement park was closed. Now the amusement park is already opened because the Pollution Control Board already granted consent to operate. Even though, the counsel appearing for the petitioners vehemently argued that there is contempt. I think, the contempt case need not be retained here. Hence, the contempt case can be closed.

Therefore, this Contempt of Court case is closed.
