JUDGMENT
Dated this the 16th day of February, 2026 The petitioner, who is an employee of KSRTC, states that he has not been paid salary for certain period and his application for Provident Fund advance has not been entertained, alleging that the KSRTC is in financial distress.
2. Standing Counsel submitted that the petitioner's application for Provident Fund advance was for an amount of ₹1,70,000/- and the petitioner has already been advanced ₹1 lakh on 21.08.2025. The balance Provident Fund advance sought for by the petitioner and the entire arrears of salary totalling about ₹2,18,775/- will be paid within a period of three months.
Taking into consideration the urgency and the need expressed by the petitioner, the writ petition is disposed of directing that the respondents shall pay the balance Provident Fund advance amount to the petitioner within a period of one month from today and the arrears of salary within a further period of two months therefrom.
