JUDGMENT
The writ petition is filed with the following prayers.
“(i) Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction, commanding the respondent to issue the regular permit granted as per Ext.P1 to the petitioner on the route Thennathoor – Cheenikkuzhy, at the earliest, with tentative set of timing suggested by the petitioner.
(ii) Issue appropriate writ, order or direction to the respondent to settle the timing and issue the permit granted as per Ext.P1 to the petitioner on the route Thennathoor – Cheenikkuzhy forthwith.
(iii) Grant the petitioner such other reliefs which this Hon’ble Court deems just and fit in the circumstance of the case.
(iv) The petitioner may be permitted to dispense with the filing of Translation of the vernacular document. “
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the permit was granted on 22.08.2024, and the timing conference for settling the timings was adjourned seven times.
3. Taking note of the above, there will be a direction to the respondent to consider the issuance of a permit after the settlement of timings at the earliest, at any rate, within one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
