Heard Mr. Saiby Jose Kidangoor, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. K.P. Sudheer, learned Standing Counsel for respondent Nos. 3 and 4.

Pursuant to the order dated 07.01.2026, an affidavit has been filed by the 3rd respondent stating that the vessel has been safely shifted from the lake to the nearest shipyard for carrying out the demolition of its underwater portion in accordance with the applicable safety and regulatory requirements. Paragraph No.3 of the affidavit reads as follows:
“It is submitted that the vessel has been safely shifted from the lake to the nearest shipyard, namely M/s Master Shipyard, Edakochi, for carrying out the demolition of its underwater portion in accordance with applicable safety and regulatory requirements. The removal and shifting operations have been completed in full, and necessary follow-up action for dismantling is being undertaken at the shipyard. In view of the above, it is submitted that the commitment made by Kerala Maritime Board before this Honourable Court regarding the removal of the vessel has been fully honored and complied with.
