2. When this writ petition came up for consideration before this Court, this Court directed the 2nd respondent to get instructions. Now, a statement has been filed by the 2nd respondent. It will be better to extract paragraph No.2 of the statement dated 20.01.2026:

" 2. It is submitted that the Traffic Regulatory Committee in the meeting held on 10/9/2025 considered the application of the petitioner and allotted him parking track at Muthalath, near his place of residence. The request for allotment of track at Manassery though valid, could not be granted immediately as there is space constrains at the location. It was further resolved that steps would be taken to locate adequate space in the area, which already have in place number of Autorikshaw. Till identifying adequate track, it was resolved not to fresh permits. The Municipal Council in its meeting held on 29/9/2025 also resolved to implement the decision to identify additional space and allow petitioner his request for parking space at Manassery. Until such time, petitioner has been allotted parking track at Muthalath. As stated it is only because of the unavailability of space, petitioner's application could not be acceded to."

3. From the above, it is clear that the petitioner was allotted a parking slot at Muthalath near his place of residence. It is also stated in the statement that the request for allotment of track at Manssery, though valid, could not be granted immediately as there is space constraints at the said location. It is clear form the statement that the Municipality is taking steps to find out a suitable place for parking slot, and at that stage, the request of the petitioner will be considered. If that is the case, recording the above submission, this writ petition can be disposed of.

Therefore, recording the paragraph No.2 of the statement dated 20.01.2026 this writ petition is disposed of. If a new parking slot is allotted, the Municipality shall make necessary arrangement to allot a parking slot to the petitioner also.
