--------------------------------

Crl.M.C.No.2859 of 2020 -------------------------------------- Dated this the 20th day of February, 2026

ORDER

The learned Public Prosecutor submitted that a refer report had already been filed in this crime with the finding that the ‘complaint is false’. A statement of the Inspector of Police, Thrissur Town West Police Station, is placed on record by the learned Public Prosecutor to the above effect. The prayer in this petition is to quash Annexure A - complaint and Annexure D - FIR registered on the basis of the aforesaid complaint. Since the Investigating Agency has already filed a Final Report mentioning that the ‘complaint is false’, and that there is no need to proceed further with the crime registered in this case, the relief sought for in this Crl.M.C. for quashing the FIR and the complaint, has become insignificant.

The Crl.M.C. is accordingly closed as purpose fulfilled.
