The petitioner, Residents Welfare Association represented by its President, has filed this Contempt Case as against the respondent/appellant for willful disobedience of the judgment dated 10.09.2025 passed by this Court in W.A No. 1922 of 2025.
2. The respondent appeared and filed a counter affidavit and submitted that he has not been paid the remaining three months’ rent and the relocation charges and therefore, he has not vacated. However, he himself filed one more contempt petition against the State in Con. Case (C) No. 2908 of 2025, wherein a direction was issued by this Court to the District Collector to pay the three months’ balance rent as well as the relocation charges. Though the District Collector has submitted in the affidavit regarding payment of three months’ rent, but the relocation charges have not yet been paid. The said issue will be considered in Con.Case (C) No. 2908 of 2025.
3. However, pursuant to the direction issued by this Court on 30.01.2026, the respondent has filed an affidavit stating that he has vacated the premises on 12.02.2026 and the same was reported to the District Collector on 13.02.2026. The same
