This application is filed under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita , 2023 (for short, BNSS ), seeking regular bail.
2. The applicant is the sole accused in Crime No.32/2026 of Kasaragod Excise Range Office, Kasaragod District. The offences alleged are punishable under Sections
55(i), 58 and 67B of Abkari Act I of 1077.
3. The prosecution case, in short, is that on
11.02.2026 at 8:30 p.m., on the northern side of the outer wall of Tejas Quarters on the eastern side of the road leading from Mylatti to Pookunnu on the Pookunnu road in the village of Thekkil in Kasaragod taluk, 5.85 litres of Indian-Made Foreign Liquor, bearing No.KL. 145 3456, which is licensed for sale only in the state of Karnataka, was transmitted and thereby committed the offences.
