IN THE HIGH COURT OF KERALA AT ERNAKULAM
VIJU ABRAHAM, J
LATHA MANGESH V.L. – Appellant
Versus
THE STATE OF KERALA REPRESENTED BY THE SECRETARY TO GOVERNMENT, DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL EDUCATION (HSE), GOVERNMENT SECRETARIAT, THIRUVANANTHAPURAM – Respondent
JUDGMENT
Dated this the 24th day of February, 2026 Above writ petition is filed challenging Ext.P22 order passed by the Government, whereby the request for regularisation has been declined.
2. Petitioner submits that she has since retired from service and therefore she is limiting her relief for an expeditious disposal of Ext.P26, wherein the petitioner has sought for retirement benefits/ex gratia payment.
3. Heard the learned Government Pleader also.
After hearing both sides, I am inclined to dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the 1st respondent to take up Ext.P26 representation submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders thereon, after affording an opportunity of being heard to the petitioner within an outer limit of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. Petitioner will be free to produce documents and judgments in support of her contentions, which shall be duly looked into by the Government while taking a decision as directed above.
