ORDER This application is filed under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita , 2023 (for short, BNSS ), seeking pre-
arrest bail.
2. The applicants are the accused Nos. 1 to 4 in Crime No.1087/2025 of Town East Police Station, Thrissur District. The offences alleged are punishable under Section 3 r/w 21 and Section 5 r/w 23 of the Banning of Unregulated Deposit Schemes Act , 2019 and Sections 406 and 420 of the IPC
3. The prosecution case, in short, is that accused No. 2 who is the managing director and accused Nos. 3 and 4 who are the directors of accused No.1“M/s. Chemmannoor Nidhi Ltd” in violation of the provisions of the BUDS Act, collected Crores of rupees and gold from several persons including 4 sovereigns and 1 lakh rupees from the defacto complainant on behalf of the firm by fraudulently and dishonestly inducing them and by making them believe that the amount would be returned with high rate of interest and other benefits. Thus the accused are said to have committed the above offences.
