IN THE HIGH COURT OF KERALA AT ERNAKULAM
DEVAN RAMACHANDRAN, M.B. SNEHALATHA, JJ
KURIAN GEORGE – Appellant
Versus
1 ANU JUNEO – Respondent
JUDGMENT Devan Ramachandran, J.
The petitioner singularly pleads that Exts.P20 and P21 applications in OP No.995/2020 be directed to be taken up and disposed of by the learned Family Court, Irinjalakuda, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
2. Interestingly, Smt.Karthika Maria –
learned counsel for the petitioner, submitted that the applications in question were considered by the learned Family Court at least twice; and that, they are next listed on 26.03.2026. She impelled an apprehension that, even on that day, the learned Family Court may not dispose of the applications.
3. We are afraid that we cannot act on conjectures and speculations, particularly when we are fully aware of the workload that each learned Family Court in Kerala endures.
4. We are consequently of the view that we must allow the learned Family Court to modulate its own procedure; and since the matter is listed on 26.03.2026, the petitioner will have to wait.
In the afore circumstances, this Original Petition is closed; however, leaving liberty to the petitioner to invoke any other remedy, including to approach this Court appropriately in future.
