IN THE HIGH COURT OF KERALA AT ERNAKULAM
MOHAMMED NIAS C.P., J
ROBIN MATHEW – Appellant
Versus
THE DISTRICT COLLECTOR, DISTRICT COLLECTORATE, CIVIL STATION, KOLLAM – Respondent
JUDGMENT The writ petition is filed with the following prayers;
“A. To set aside the further proceedings in connection with Exhibit P4 issued by the revenue recovery Tahazildar, Pathanapuram.
B. To set aside the entire proceedings derived from the Exhibit P4.
C. To grant such other relief as this Hon’ble Court deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case.”
2. Though an interim order was passed by this Court on
08.12.2025 directing the petitioner to remit an amount of Rs.1 Lakh, the same was not complied with. Accordingly, the interim order was vacated on 30.01.2026.
3. Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner intends to file an appeal against Ext.P1 award and seeks to keep the revenue recovery proceedings in abeyance to enable him to do so.
4. Taking note of the fact that the recovery was pursuant to an award which has not been challenged so far and that even the interim order passed by this Court has not been complied with, I am not inclined to grant any relief to the petitioner.
The writ petition fails and is accordingly dismissed.
