JUDGMENT

The prayers in this Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India are as follows:-

“(I) Issue Writ of mandamus directing the 4th respondent to hand over the investigation of the case in Crime No.640/2025 of Munambam Police station to the 3rd respondent, forthwith.

(II) Issue of writ of mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to conduct proper, fair and impartial investigation of the case in Crime No.640/2025 of Munambam Police Station within a time limit to be fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

(III) Issue of writ of mandanus directing the 3rd respondent to search and inspect the CCTV cameras installed near and around the place of accident to find out the driver of the vehicle involved in the accident.

(IV) Issue of writ of mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to take evidence and statement from the friends of the petitioners' deceased son Sohan who gathered at Garden Beach House Resort, Cherai on the date of accident, after conducting interrogation.

(V) Issue of writ of mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to take evidence and statement from the 6th and 7th respondent and also from the PRO/Asst.PRO the Medical Trust Hospital, Kuzhupilly, who was in-charge in that time, on the date of accident, after conducting interrogation.

(VI) Dispense with the filing of translation of vernacular documents.

(VII) Issue such other relief this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case.”

2. The learned Public Prosecutor submitted that the Police completed the investigation and submitted final report.

This submission is recorded.

The Writ Petition is closed with liberty to the petitioners to challenge the final report and seek appropriate remedies in the manner known to law.
