J U D G M E N T
[WP(C) Nos.41823/2022, 13298/2023, 13405/2023]
These are all writ petitions filed, claiming protection under the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act , 2014.
2. Today, when the matter is taken up, the learned Standing Counsel for the Thrissur Corporation, Sri.S anthosh Poduval submits that only the 2nd petitioner and the 9th petitioner in WP(C) No.41823 of 2022, petitioner Nos.1, 3, 7 and 10 in WP(C) No.13298 of 2023 and petitioners 9 and 18 in WP(C) No.13405 of 2023 are the eligible street vendors, entitled to rehabilation.
3. It is submitted that the petitioners who are not found eligible can make an appropriate representation before the Secretary of the Corporation, who will then place it before the Town vending committee for a decision. As far as the petitioners who were found eligible are concerned, they can continue in the present vending Zone subject to any actions for rehabilitation.
