J U D G M E N T

The petitioners are aggrieved by the alleged actions of the 6th respondent, Station House Officer of Gandhi Nagar Police Station, Kottayam District, in implementing a one-way system at Peroor junction as far as the stage carriages of the petitioners bearing registration Nos. KL-5X-2375, KL-5Z-0025, KL-5AL-4079, KL-5Y-6128 and KL-44B 2937, which are permitted to operate on the route Kottayam- Ettumanoor Via Samkranthi and Peroor, without the matter being considered by the Traffic Advisory Committee or the Regional Transport Authority. The petitioners had preferred Ext.P8 representation before the Traffic Regulatory Authority, the 3rd respondent.

2. Taking note of the fact that the Traffic Regulatory Committee comprises the Regional Transport Officer and the District Police Chief, and also the Chairperson of the Local authority, there will be a direction to the 3rd respondent Authority to take a decision, in accordance with law, on Ext.P8 with notice to the petitioners and all other affected persons within one month from the date of receipt of a copy of the judgment.
