JUDGMENT

The Prayers in this Original Petition filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India are as follows:-

”i) To pass appropriate order directing the III Additional District and Sessions Court ADHOC-1, Palakkad to dispose of SC No: 478/2021 expeditiously within a time limit to be specified by this Hon’ble Court.

ii) Pass such other reliefs which this Hon’ble Court deems just and necessary and that may be prayed for by the Petitioner while hearing the O.P (Crl).”

2. On 12.02.2026, this Court directed the Registry to obtain a report from the Court concerned on the time required for the disposal of the matter.

3. A report has been obtained from the Additional District and Sessions Court – III, Palakkad, stating that the matter could be disposed of within a period of one year. Therefore, the Additional District and Sessions Court – III, Palakkad, is directed to dispose of S.C. No.478 of 2021 within a period of one year from the date of production of a certified copy of this judgment. The Trial Court is at liberty to seek extension of time, if necessary.

The Original Petition is disposed of as above.
